What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, so you don't have to re-enter information each time you visit. Similar technologies include web beacons, pixel tags, and local storage, which work in comparable ways.
This policy explains which cookies Moseley Aesthetics uses, why we use them, and how you can control or withdraw your consent at any time.
Cookies we use
We group our cookies into four categories. Only the Strictly Necessary category operates without your consent, as these cookies are required for the website to function. All other categories are switched off by default and only activate when you expressly give permission.
1. Strictly NecessaryAlways on
Required for core website functions such as security, booking, payments, login, session management and remembering your cookie preferences. These cookies cannot be disabled as they are needed for the service you have requested.
Examples:
- Session and authentication cookies for the booking system
- Payment processing tokens (Stripe)
- Cookie consent preference storage
- Security and anti-fraud measures
2. AnalyticsOff by default
Helps us understand how visitors use the website so we can improve pages, content and user experience. These cookies collect anonymous, aggregated data about page visits, session duration and user journeys.
Examples (when enabled):
- Google Analytics — pageview tracking, session metrics
- Hotjar or similar — heatmaps, session recordings
Note: No analytics tools are currently installed on this website. This section will be populated with specific cookie names, providers and expiry durations when analytics is added.
3. MarketingOff by default
Used to measure advertising performance and understand which marketing campaigns result in visits, enquiries or bookings. These cookies track conversions from advertising platforms.
Examples (when enabled):
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel — ad conversion tracking
- Google Ads conversion tracking
- Google Tag Manager tags requiring consent
Note: No marketing pixels are currently installed on this website.
4. PersonalisationOff by default
Allows us to remember optional preferences and provide a more tailored website experience. These cookies remember choices you make to improve your visit.
How we obtain your consent
On your first visit, you will see a cookie consent banner at the bottom of the page. You can choose to accept all cookies, reject optional cookies, or manage your preferences individually. We do not use pre-ticked consent for optional cookies, and we do not treat continued browsing, scrolling or closing the banner as consent.
Your consent choices are stored for 182 days (approximately 6 months). After that, or if our cookie policy changes materially, we will ask for your consent again. The current consent policy version is 1.0.0.
Changing or withdrawing your consent
You can change your cookie preferences at any time. Click the 🍪 cookie icon in the lower-left corner of any page, or use the "Manage Cookie Preferences" link in the footer. You can also withdraw consent entirely by rejecting optional cookies in the preferences panel.
If you clear your browser's site data, the consent banner will appear again on your next visit.
Browser cookie controls
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block all cookies, accept only first-party cookies, or delete cookies after each session. Note that blocking all cookies may affect the booking system and payment functionality.
